Patrick
PatrickI did this portrait in Procreate playing around with different color editing filters. I couldn't decide which iteration of the portrait I liked best, so I decided to make it a series of three. I tied them together with a line working its way all the way across.

Zine Collage
Zine CollageFor my W23 New Textiles class at Parsons School of Design, our final project was to arrange our zines from the semester in whatever way we chose. I did a digital collage for mine combining elements of what we learned throughout the semester, inspirational artists we encountered, and my personal inspirations.

Loving Me
Loving MeThis is a drawing of my Grandma looking at me when I was a baby. I wanted to capture the joy on her face. I wanted to only do highlights and shadows on her face and give a cartoon look using black for some details. She really liked wearing earrings, she never took them off, so I made a point to make her earrings more realistic.
Dawn Treader
Dawn TreaderI created this for an assignment during the RISD Continuing Education Mastering Poster Design class I was taking. The assignment called for us to make a poster for a local business. I chose a local antique bookstore. I got inspired by some of Jon Contino's vintage-looking typography, so I decided to create old-looking fonts by combining the lettering I liked and adding my own twists here and there. At first, I was using a pencil digital brush to sketch things out, but I liked how it looked kind of old, so I decided to use the pencil tool for the whole thing. It took a while to draw everything out, figure out what fonts to use, and fit it together in a way I liked, adding extra flourishes at the end to make it look more like an old medieval-style store sign. I included the Dawn Treader sketch from the original Narnia book. It was fun to figure out how to put everything into the same shape. Then since it's a book store, I decided to make the whole thing look like an antique book cover. I chose a muted dark red to draw the eye in, create contrast and suggest age. Then I chose gold and purple because they complimented the red pretty well and made the book look fancier. I decided to add "The Adventure Awaits" because books have adventures in them, and the store is full of lots of fun, intriguing, and mysterious books. I wanted this to be used as an advertising poster that could be posted on the street or in front of the store.
Sisterhood, Song & Strength
Sisterhood, Song & Strength I made this drawing of inspirational women using my Wacom tablet and the Sketchbook app on my computer. Then I used Photoshop to add words and do final edits. This was made for my Glee Club concert to represent our theme.
Buzz
BuzzI made this in Procreate as a birthday present. I spent a lot of time layering colors, patterns, and textures. Then I used black as the outline of Buzz lightyear and altered the colors of his face.
Blue and Orange
Blue and OrangeI used a woman's selfie for reference. I wanted to emphasize her beauty, so I used contrasting colors so she would pop. Because of this, I decided to use monochrome for her skin.
